About the Author
My name is Jason Grow and my text-based computer gaming experience began in the 1970s. I remember playing Colossal Cave and Zork! and others. My favorite text-based game was Star Trek. With Bio-Terror!, I have recreated the gaming experience that I remember from the 1970s. Even the $20 price tag of my modern game is vintage and it comes on a 5 1/4" floppy diskette with a syringe style pen for recording results on the research log.
Why did I build Bio-Terror! ?
Back in 1983, I used a Commodore 64 to play games, write games, and to tinker with other people's games. When the movie WarGames was released I wanted to build my own game inspired by the NORAD operations center with the giant maps. The map for this game came out of my (uncompleted) WarGames sim from 1983.This enhanced version of Bio-Terror! is available for the Commodore 64 on floppy diskette only, limited to 50 copies, numbered and signed. This edition will not be reproduced.
